Hello!  My name is Matt (Matthew) Planer, and I'm currently based out of Los Angeles, CA. I was born and raised in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. Please go visit there, it's truly beautiful. From there I moved to Boston, MA to attend Emerson College for a degree in Cinematography. I started working professionally in the Camera, Grip, and Electric Departments in the film industry during June 2015 in Boston, MA. I spent my last semester (Spring 2017) studying and working in the sunny Los Angeles. I graduated from Emerson in May 2017, and quickly returned to LA where I have lived ever since.   Currently, I am working in the Grip and Electrical Departments in the film industry here in LA. My passion lies in Cinematography, which I pursue in both my personal and professional time. Over the coming years, I hope to be able to support myself solely from my Cinematography work.   My hope is that this website will serve as my creative platform for both my professional and personal work. I plan to share my professional Cinematography pieces, along with collections of my personal photography in hopes to market and promote myself to the free world. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you'd like to collaborate!
